ILS is seeking a Systems Engineer to help design, integrate, and sustain complex systems that support mission‑critical operations. In this role, you’ll translate stakeholder needs into clear requirements, lead systems engineering activities across the full lifecycle, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable, secure, and high‑performing solutions. • Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure
• Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
• Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
• Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes
• Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
• Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
• Participate in the design of information and operational support systems
• Provide 2nd and 3rd level support
• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
  
  Work in a team environment to provide 24x7 support of the production infrastructure
• Properly documenting and maintaining an inventory of production IT assets and related policies and procedures

• BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject (or equivalent experience)
• Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Windows, VMWare, Nutanix/Acropolis, and UNIX/Linux based environments.
• Solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks (Windows, Oracle, and UNIX/Linux stacks)
• Experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, Acropolis, Docker)
• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory
• Experience with networking equipment and infrastructure (Cisco, F5, RSA)
• Experience with database queries and scripting languages (Oracle, SQL Server, Powershell, etc.)
• CI/CD experience a plus

• 5+ years experience
• Cloud experience, preferably in AWS or Azure
• Direct knowledge of Veritas backup solutions
• Direct knowledge of F5 Load Balancer
