Responsibilities- Open and close the store in the absence of store management, including all required system start‑ups, cash handling, and ensuring floor and stock room readiness. Responsible for opening the back door for deliveries.
- Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to safe, and provide change as requested to cash registers.
- Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
- Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance, resolve issues, and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
- Coach and assist team members on warehouse and vendor ordering processes, including opening back door for vendor deliveries.
- Register all sales on assigned cash register, reporting scanning errors, price verification, items not on file, price modifications, and voids.
- Assist manager(s) in reviewing order exceptions on order release day and reverse logistics (e.g., returns, empty package).
- Assist with and develop displays, including promotional, seasonal, super‑structures, and sale merchandise. Complete resets and revisions.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts, including basic departments, stockroom, and overstock locations.
- Ensure Outdate program is followed with team members.
- Create basic department pricing and make daily price changes; ensure proper signage for accurate pricing. Complete any additional pricing tasks related to local regulations or compliance programs.
- Assist with bookkeeping activities, including cash report, cash counts, ledgers, and bill payment as requested.
- Assist with exterior and interior maintenance, ensuring a clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance. Request repairs as required.
- Assist with food separation (raw from pre‑cooked), product placement, stock rotation using the first‑in‑first‑out method, and restock outs.
- Have working knowledge of store systems and equipment.
- Assist at pharmacy window as requested.
- Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages, tobacco).
- Perform bag checks of team members before leaving the store.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
- Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
- Attend training and complete PPLs requested by Manager.
- Serve as liaison between management and non‑management team members by communicating assigned tasks when management is absent.
- Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.
- One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico)
- Knowledge of store inventory control.
- Consideration of employment of qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
- Valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.
