- Develop, write, and maintain WPS in compliance with applicable codes (AWS, ASME, API, etc.)
- Manage and oversee PQR and WPQ.
- Certify welders to company standards and maintain welder continuity records.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for welding standards and lead development of internal standards to ensure consistency across all plants.
- Work closely with Engineering to ensure weld design aligns with code and manufacturing requirements.
- Partner with Production leadership to resolve welding-related issues and support process improvements.
- Collaborate with the Quality team to embed welding compliance within the QMS, support corrective actions, and provide expertise for customer audits.
- Support Training personnel in developing and delivering training programs consistent with established WPS.
- Conduct internal audits of welding processes to verify adherence to WPS and code requirements.
