Primary Function:
Performs a variety of general maintenance, repair, and facility support duties throughout the school system. Duties may include basic carpentry, tile and flooring repair, hardware and locksmith support, minor plumbing and electrical assistance, and other general building maintenance tasks. The position provides on-the-job training to develop the required skills.
Requirements:
Educational Level: None.
Certification/Licensing: GA driver's license.
Proficiency

Skills:

Ability to organize. Written and oral communication and basic math skills. Willingness and ability to learn new maintenance skills through training. Willingness to be trained or cross-trained in multiple maintenance areas.
Personal

Skills:

Ability to lift materials and equipment weighing a maximum of 75 pounds. Pleasant personality, cooperative attitude, physical skills and stamina to perform essential duties.
Salary: CCSS Classified Salary Schedule - A15, 240 work days. A015 (Start pay $17.75- max pay $28.53). Steps awarded with verifiable experience. Yearly salary is determined by multiplying the hourly pay rate by the number of work days (prorated if not stated at the beginning of the school year). That total is then divided by 12 months. This position earns 12 sick, 3 personal, and 10 vacation days.

16. Assists with maintenance inventory by withdrawing, returning, or recommending supplies.
17. Maintains all tools and equipment related to the position in good working order.
18. Demonstrates loyalty to the school, school system, and administrators.
19. Contributes positively to the school climate and staff morale.
20. Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
