Industrial Maintenance Mechanic; Oil Mill

Position: Industrial Maintenance Mechanic (Oil Mill)
JOB SUMMARY:

Installing, dismantling, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment such as pumps, conveyors, and other processing equipment, while also performing preventative maintenance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:

• Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance.
• Perform routine walk throughs to ensure the proper operation of all plant equipment.
• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.
• Dismantles machinery and removes/replaces defective parts.
• Determines changes in requirements of parts by inspecting and measuring various instruments.
• Trains production workers on routine preventive maintenance.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial machinery and equipment.
• Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
• Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and hydraulic issues.
• Analyze equipment performance and make recommendations for improvements.
• Fabricate and install new parts or components as needed.
• Collaborate with other team members to complete projects and meet deadlines.
• Respond promptly to emergency machine breakdowns.
• Perform cleanup of job sites before and after completing repairs.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be willing to work extended hours as needed.
• Must have understanding of tools needed to perform maintenance duties; mechanically inclined.

SKILLS:

• Must be able to read, write, and speak in English; knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
• Be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Be able to take verbal and written direction from supervisors and effectively communicate back.
• Be able to communicate and work with coworkers.
• Must be able to work as part of a team and independently.
• Must be observant, organized, and detail oriented.
• Must function well in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have desire and ability to learn.
• Must work in a safe manner following all rules, guidelines, and company policies.
• Must report to work in a timely manner ready, willing, and able to perform the essential duties.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
• 1-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay Range: $28-$35
