Salary: Up to £41k
Location: Choice of Arvato site;
Birmingham, Derby, Corby
Hours: Monday to Friday  (40 hour week)

As a UK Procurement Specialist, you’ll be responsible for the procurement of Arvato's Facilities & Engineering Departments. Your typical day‑to‑day duties will include meeting with suppliers, working on tenders RFI's and RFQ's, implementing supplier agreements, negotiating contracts, and working with internal stakeholders as a dotted line into the Head of Facilities & Engineering. You will be responsible for creating the category strategy and aligning with the group approach.

You will represent procurement at a UK and European level within your categories to build partnerships, introduce new suppliers and implement new ways of working.

Your Tasks
  • Work closely with the Facilities & Engineering Team and take ownership and accountability of category strategy.
  • Preparation and execution of tenders, RFIs for facilities & engineering.
  • Consolidate existing suppliers and source new products and materials.
  • Negotiate and implement supplier agreements.
  • Conduct supplier commercial negotiations.
  • Work with key suppliers to improve service levels and potential group growth.
  • Build relationships with key internal stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of change.
  • Be accountable for achieving agreed targets and objectives.
  • Drive process standardisation and simplification.
  • Manage supplier OTIF, troubleshoot associated service issues, and lead escalations.
  • Promote sustainability standards throughout the Arvato and supplier supply chains.
Your Profile
  • Experience in facilities management & engineering MRO procurement within an FMCG environment, ideally warehousing and logistics.
  • Hands‑on experience with end‑to‑end RFI, RFQ and tender delivery.
  • Experience with in business process design is advantageous.
  • Evidence of success within supplier consolidation programmes.
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills.
  • Able to create strategic and tactical plans.
  • Good influencer and able to work well with stakeholders.
  • A working knowledge of project management.
  • Ability to balance priorities and work to tight deadlines.
  • Good communication skills – clear and concise, written and verbal.
  • Experience with performance management and reporting.
  • Problem‑solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Good IT skills and a working knowledge of SAP is desirable.
