About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a cutting-edge, fully automated cold storage facility in Corby. This is an exciting opportunity to work with advanced technology and automation systems, where your engineering expertise will directly impact operational efficiency. You ll maintain high-tech conveyors, cranes, cooling systems, and oxygen reduction systems in a fast-paced, dynamic environment working at heights up to 120ft and in temperatures as low as

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will play a vital role in keeping operations running smoothly, delivering both planned and reactive maintenance, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities
Operate and maintain automated systems including conveyors, cranes, cooling systems, and oxygen reduction systems
Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime
Support warehouse operations and optimise logistics performance
Manage engineering stock and spare parts inventory
Liaise with suppliers and coordinate warranty/service visits
Produce clear engineering reports for the Engineering Manager
Implement energy-saving and cost-efficient improvements
Ensure full compliance with safety and maintenance procedures
Requirements
Essential:
NVQ Level 3 in Multi-Skilled Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
Apprentice-trained engineering background
Experience in FMCG automated warehouses, distribution centres, or industrial environments
Desirable:
Cold store/freezer warehouse or ammonia refrigeration experience
Experience working at height
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills in automated systems
