Service Engineer

We are a well-established British engineering company providing after-sales and service support to a major Italian packaging machinery manufacturer.

A classic Field Service Engineer role involving repair, refurbishment, upgrades, installations and commissioning of Italian-made packaging machinery supplied to the food, pharmaceutical and other manufacturing industries.

Time is split between the Corby workshop (≈1/3) and travelling to client sites across the UK (≈2/3). You will likely stay away a couple of nights per week on scheduled maintenance, installation or commissioning projects.

• Repair, maintenance and servicing of industrial equipment and packaging machinery.
• Refurbishment, upgrades, installations and commissioning of machinery.
• Travel to client sites across the UK and Ireland.
• Fault finding on PLCs and mechanical systems.
• Provide excellent customer service and support.

• Qualified Mechanical Engineer or completion of a full mechanical apprenticeship.
• Experienced Field Service or Maintenance Engineer of industrial or capital equipment.
• Experience with PLCs (Siemens, Allen Bradley) is advantageous.
• Electrical engineering qualifications or experience is a bonus.
• Exposure to packaging machinery in food and/or pharmaceutical sectors is preferred.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Based at the Corby factory with 30% of the time onsite; 70% travelling across UK and Ireland. Commutable locations include Corby, Peterborough, Northampton, Stamford, Leicester, Lincoln, Bedford.
