Vehicle Prepper

PS LTD are currently recruiting a Vehicle Prepper to join an experienced and professional bodyshop team based in Corby. This role plays a key part in the daily production of the bodyshop, ensuring vehicles are prepared and finished to the highest standards in line with customer requirements, under the guidance of the Bodyshop / Operations Manager.

Monday – Friday | 06:00 start

• Prepare vehicles for paint, including masking, sanding, and priming panels
• Ensure prepared panels are free from defects prior to paint
• Work across a range of vehicles, from small family cars to light commercial vehicles
• Follow standards and processes set by paint and dry goods suppliers to deliver a high-quality, cost-effective finish
• Check all work prior to starting to ensure repairs meet required standards
• Accurately complete parts requisitions
• Complete all work within allocated times and work efficiently to meet targets
• Support the wider bodyshop team across other departments when required
• Develop and maintain positive, professional working relationships with colleagues

• Previous experience as a Vehicle Prepper / Bodyshop Technician (essential)
• Full UK Driving Licence, with the ability to drive manual and automatic vehicles (essential)
• Over 21 years old with a minimum of 2 years’ driving experience (essential for insurance purposes)
• Ability to work independently and make informed decisions
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in high-quality workmanship
• Willingness to support and mentor junior technicians
• Passion for the motor industry and commitment to customer standards
