* Description:

*** Assist with patient admission, orientation to room and safety features, and securing valuables.
* Obtain vital signs, apply cardiac monitors, and perform EKG testing
* Support nurses and providers in patient care, including transfers, discharges, splinting, and wound care.
* Collect blood, urine, and other specimens following hospital policy.
* Recognize and report abnormal heart rhythms or vital signs to the care team.
* Maintain clean, stocked, and safe patient care areas; locate and manage equipment.
* Communicate professionally with patients, families, and staff to promote a positive environment.
* Adhere to hospital policies, infection control, and safety standards while participating in required trainings.
** Requirements:
*** High School Diploma or equivalent
* Glucometer Training
* Previous laboratory or customer service experience preferred.
* Data entry and computer experience and /or phlebotomy, point of care testing experience preferred.
* Nursing Assistant experience or prior phlebotomy training/experience is preferred
* New employees requiring CPR-Basic Life Support (BLS)-American Heart Association should receive (CPR) training within the first week of orientation.
