We are hiring a Restoration Warehouse Mechanic at SERVPRO of Port Jefferson, Stony Brook
.
As the front‑line representative of the SERVPRO® brand, the Restoration Warehouse Mechanic coordinates, monitors, and performs work activities on projects to successfully fulfill service needs and facilitate a positive customer experience.

- Coordinate and perform production processes as scheduled and ensure quality control.
- Manage the customer and client experience and overall satisfaction, tracked with online reviews.
- Communicate clear expectations to restoration technicians and supervise their activities.
- Document a detailed and accurate job file to support the services provided.
- Manage labor and consumable item usage on assigned projects.
- Communicate with restoration project manager and office staff on project progress and issues.
- Work Monday‑Friday 8am‑5pm with occasional extended hours in busier seasons.
- Travel to jobsites and work on‑site when needed.
- Maintain, repair, and inventory equipment.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly warehouse.
- Communicate and follow all OSHA guidelines for job safety.
- Manage assets by protecting and using equipment and materials properly.
- Coach and train restoration technicians.
- Work with a variety of specifications such as drawings, sketches, and technical documents and directives.
- Undergo required physical tasks such as lifting up to 75 pounds, climbing, bending, twisting, kneeling, squatting, or crawling as needed.
- Use own tools and toolbox.
- Possess knowledge of dehumidifiers, heaters, fans, generators, mobile equipment vehicles, industrial forklifts, man lifts, sweepers, and wheel loaders.
- Troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic systems using schematics.
- Valid driver’s license.
- High school diploma or GED (preferred).
- At least 1 year of experience in cleaning, restoration, or construction.
- IICRC certification is a plus, not required.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, and work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics).
- Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects.
- Ability to work with or around cleaning agents.
