Reading Helper (Primary School)
Organisation: Coram Beanstalk –
Location: Hanley
Area of interest: Supporting Children and Young People
Number of Volunteers required: 2
Description:
- Adult volunteers living or working within a 5‑mile radius of the school.
- Commit to at least an afternoon a week for a whole year during term time.
- Receive training and are encouraged to stay longer.
- The role focuses on creating a relaxed reading session that allows children to discover the joy of books, rather than simply listening to readers.
Requirements:
- Valid DBS check (to be submitted by us).
- Vehicle travel expenses will be reimbursed.
