Line Cook

Overview

Iowa Athletic Club, a made-from-scratch restaurant and sports bar located next to the Xtream Arena in Coralville, is seeking a part-time, evening Line Cook to join our growing team. Pay: $15/hour and up based on experience

Schedule: Primarily night shifts, with availability for weekends required. Day shift availability is preferred but not mandatory.

Full-time Benefits: Available for all full-time employees who work on average 35 hours per week or more.

• Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies.
• Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces
• Cooks food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.
• Cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces at the end of the shift.
• Performs inventory checks and completes food storage logs.
• Exceptional communication skills- the ability to communicate clearly with the Chefs or highest management on the line.
• Other duties as assigned

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• 6 months or more of line cook experience preferred
• Prolonged periods of walking or standing.
• Must be able to lift up to 40lbs
