Job Title

Technician II – Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT) – Coralville, IA – Full Time

We are looking for a Technician II to support high throughput genotyping and molecular biology workflows. The Technician II will be responsible for using automated and manual lab equipment, performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and using custom software packages to complete tasks and create final products.

• Operate automated and manual lab equipment accurately and consistently.
• Perform limited maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment.
• Use custom software packages to complete tasks and generate final products.
• Adhere to safety regulations, lab SOPs, and contamination controls.
• Maximize automation for all processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Experience using aids and SOPs to make decisions about the proper production path per product.
• Proficiency with PC software including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.

• Previous experience in a laboratory environment.
