Shift: Sunday – Thursday 11:30 pm to 7:30 am (3rd shift). Training Monday‑Friday day shift for 4 weeks.

Job Summary: The Supervisor Industrial Engineering – 3rd shift will support our collective bargaining unit production employees and support engineering needs onsite in Coralville, IA.

What You Will Do
  • Direct support of the automated build of circuit‑card assemblies including machine operation, coordination of production plans, master production schedules, inventory levels, and assembly schedules
  • Makes modifications to processes to enhance the effectiveness of Industrial Engineering
  • Utilize lean tools and methodology to drive performance improvements and minimize waste within manufacturing processes
  • Responsible for overall leadership, education, training, and guidance of bargaining‑unit personnel
  • Interface with all pertinent parties to meet and improve upon established quality, cost, schedule, and safety goals
  • Review, establish, and prioritize production schedules based on product introduction, efficiency, materials supply, and personnel resources
  • Inform assigned associates of production and/or material problems and coordinate with support groups to resolve operational problems affecting schedules
  • Establish and modify operational methods and processes by recommending changes in materials, equipment, and procedures; recommend departmental standards and practices
  • Coordinate production activities with other functions such as materials, maintenance, marketing, new product development, customer service, manufacturing engineering, quality inspection, etc.
  • Responsible for recruitment, performance reviews, and training needs
  • Perform other related duties as required
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a university degree and minimum 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree and minimum 3 years of experience
  • Ability to work 3rd‑shift hours (Sunday – Thursday 11:30 pm to 7:30 am)
  • Experience in leading people
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Industrial Engineering experience
  • Direct experience in technical and communication skills
  • Highly motivated and self‑directed
  • Direct experience in developing and motivating teams and personnel, including conducting team meetings and employee performance and disciplinary reviews as appropriate
  • Intermediate knowledge of SPC, Excel, Word, SAP, FIT, and related software programs associated with circuit‑card processes
