Risk Manager/Analyst, Regulatory Compliance Specialist
Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic manager to oversee and perform consumer application-related dealer portfolio monitoring and management initiatives for our home improvement lending business. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in dealer portfolio management within the home improvement sector, particularly in risk/fraud detection and prevention, monitoring, implementation, and performance of prefunding controls and compliance. This individual must be a subject matter expert in dealer pipeline monitoring, prefunding controls, and inspection processes, and possess a keen attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a strong ability to drive action.
As a manager, the Manager, Dealer Experience, it is expected that you will execute strategies while collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a seamless and compliant dealer portfolio and monitoring process. Salary range for the role is between $100,000 and $128,000 with an annual bonus. The position can be 100% remote in the U.S.
Responsibilities- Manage and oversee strategic initiatives for dealer portfolio management, including quality assessments, risk/fraud identification, and improvement measures to enhance dealer performance and compliance.
- Leverage subject matter expertise on dealer quality characteristics, dealer red flags, dealer quality improvement measures, and dealer management strategies to help identify, prevent, and mitigate risk to maintain a high-quality loan portfolio.
- Direct and perform quality control checks on dealer application pipeline, identifying predictive risk indicators, implementing corrective controls, and tracking key quality metrics for reporting.
- Utilize expertise to execute controls directly related to Staged Funding, including Home Improvement Contract (HIC) reviews, acquisition and review of building permits, verification of work scope photographs, and clearing Confirmation of Work Complete (CWC) calls.
- Act as a single point of contact for escalations related to consumer and dealer complaints escalated to the Director of Dealer Experience, prepare preliminary investigative findings and work to satisfactorily resolve complaints within an established SLA.
- Help establish and maintain a robust dealer pipeline monitoring and surveillance framework, conduct preliminary investigations and escalate significant findings.
- Ensure the effective execution of decisions made by the Dealer Oversight Committee, implementing policies and operational improvements as required.
- Represent the organization in fraud prevention collaborations with home improvement lending partners.
- Assist leadership with vetting and onboarding third party vendors related to role.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration.
- Conduct performance reviews, establish professional development plan, and provide coaching for long-term career growth.

- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred
- 2+ years of dealer portfolio management experience with emphasis on risk/fraud mitigation.
- 3+ years of experience in the home improvement lending space required
- 2+ years of proven leadership experience managing teams in a regulated lending or financial services environment.
- Demonstrated history of dealer monitoring experience in the home improvement lending space.
- Strong background in consumer application lifecycle management, including risk and fraud detection functions.
- Excellent leadership, written and verbal communication, presentation, and reporting skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with dealers, internal teams, and external vendors and partners.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data, generate insights, and drive decision-making at a management level.
