Position Overview
This leadership position has full operational accountability for the Porsche brand within our multi-brand luxury dealership. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving financial performance, operational excellence, securing, mentoring, and motivating a team of professional sales associates, and brand stewardship while aligning Porsche-specific objectives with the broader dealership strategy. The General Manager ensures Porsche operates as a best-in-class business unit, delivering elevated guest experience, disciplined operations, and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities Porsche Brand Leadership- Act as the senior executive authority for the Porsche brand within a multi-brand dealership environment.
- Protect and elevate Porsche’s brand identity, standards, and exclusivity across all customer and operational touchpoints.
- Serve as the primary liaison with Porsche Cars North America, ensuring full compliance with manufacturer standards, performance benchmarks, and reporting requirements.
- Maintain complete profit-and-loss responsibility for the Porsche division, including sales, service, parts, and F&I.
- Develop, manage, and execute annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term strategic plans.
- Analyze financial performance, identify risks and opportunities, and implement corrective actions to achieve revenue, margin, and expense targets.
- Provide direct oversight of all Porsche operations, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and consistency with luxury best practices.
- Establish and enforce operational KPIs, internal controls, and standard operating procedures.
- Optimize inventory management, pricing strategy, and allocation to balance profitability with brand positioning.
- Drive new and pre-owned Porsche sales performance while maintaining premium brand standards.
- Partner with department leaders to maximize service absorption, customer retention, F&I performance, and accessory sales.
- Leverage data, market trends, and competitive insights to inform pricing, marketing, and growth strategies.
- Build, lead, and retain a high-performing Porsche leadership team within the larger dealership structure.
- Set executive-level expectations for accountability, performance, and professional development.
- Conduct succession planning and leadership development to ensure long-term operational continuity.
- Personally engage with key clients, collectors, and high-net-worth individuals to foster loyalty and advocacy.
- Ensure a seamless, elevated Porsche client journey from acquisition through ownership and service.
- Oversee exclusive Porsche events, vehicle launches, and experiential initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with executive leadership and peer General Managers across other brands to ensure alignment with enterprise goals.
- Share best practices while preserving Porsche’s distinct operational and brand identity.
- Support dealership-wide initiatives, governance standards, and cultural values.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or Management preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- 7+ years of senior leadership experience within luxury automotive retail;
Porsche experience strongly preferred. - Proven track record of full P&L ownership and multi-department operational leadership.
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to interpret complex performance data.
- Proven success in leading within a multi-brand dealership or enterprise retail environment.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the day.
- Frequently moves between multiple dealership levels using staircases; must be able to ascend and descend stairs throughout the day.
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds (e.g., marketing materials, supplies, equipment).
- Must be able to work in both office and showroom environments, with frequent transitions to outdoor vehicle lots for inventory inspections, appraisals, and customer interactions.
- Requires the ability to visually inspect vehicles for quality and presentation standards, which may involve bending, kneeling, or reaching.
- Frequent use of computer systems, telephones, and digital platforms requiring hand-eye coordination and dexterity.
- Must be able to communicate verbally clearly and effectively in person and over the telephone with customers, vendors, and team members in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy retail automotive environment that includes walking between indoor and outdoor areas in varying weather conditions.
- Flexible working extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on dealership needs.
