Legal Assistant Paralegal

We are seeking an experienced, detail oriented General Liability Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join a fast paced litigation team handling complex premises liability and personal injury matters. This role is critical to supporting attorneys on high exposure cases and institutional clients.

• Manage liability litigation files from intake through resolution
• Obtain, organize, and analyze medical records and billing
• Draft and issue non party notices and subpoenas, including medical providers, employers, and custodians of records
• Track compliance with subpoenas and aggressively follow up to ensure timely production
• Prepare discovery requests, responses, and objections
• Review and summarize discovery materials, medical records, and incident documentation
• Assist with deposition preparation, including medical chronologies and exhibit binders
• Coordinate with clients, adjusters, experts, and vendors
• Maintain accurate litigation calendars, deadlines, and task management
• Ensure files are litigation ready at all times for hearings, mediations, and trial
• Support trial preparation as needed

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a legal assistant/paralegal in liability or personal injury defense
• Strong experience with medical records, subpoenas, and discovery
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage high volume, high stakes cases efficiently
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with Florida civil procedure
• Experience working with large corporate or institutional clients
• Proficiency with case management systems and e filing platforms
