We are seeking a Senior Litigation Attorney to take ownership of complex matters, lead cases from inception through resolution, and elevate our litigation practice to the next level. This role will likely turn into a partnership and/or ownership role.

Responsibilities Core Responsibilities- Independently manage full, complex litigation matters from pre-suit through trial, settlement, or resolution
- Develop and execute a litigation strategy aligned with client goals, objectives, and firm standards
- Draft, review, and argue dispositive motions, discovery motions, and evidentiary motions
- Conduct depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials
- Conduct depositions of parties, experts, and key witnesses
- Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and the court
- Appear as lead or first-chair counsel at hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials
- Evaluate cases for risk, legal merit, exposure, cost-benefit, and resolution strategy
- Advise clients on litigation risks, timelines, settlement posture, and outcomes
- Supervise, mentor, and train junior attorneys, paralegals, and litigation staff
- Review pleadings, discovery, and filings prepared by team members for quality and accuracy
- Maintain control of litigation calendars, deadlines, and procedural compliance
- Coordinate with experts, vendors, opposing counsel, and the court
- Maintain accurate timekeeping, billing narratives, litigation, and matter budgets
- Participate in case intake, strategy meetings, and file audits
- Contribute to firm systems, templates, best practices, and litigation playbooks
- Uphold firm reputation through professionalism, preparation, discretion, and ethical advocacy
- Percentage of cases managed independently without partner intervention
- Case progression efficiency is measured by adherence to litigation timelines and court deadlines
- Favorable outcomes achieved through dismissal, summary judgment, settlement, or trial
- Reduction in adverse rulings due to procedural or preparation errors
- Monthly and quarterly billable hour targets consistently met or exceeded
- Realization rate on billed hours
- Write-down and write-off percentages are kept within firm benchmarks
- Effective management of litigation budgets and client cost expectations
- Motion success rate, including dispositive and discovery motions
- Deposition effectiveness is measured by motion leverage and settlement impact
- Trial and hearing preparedness as evaluated through internal review
- Quality control scores on pleadings, discovery, and filings
- Client satisfaction and retention on litigated matters
- Clear, proactive client communication with minimal escalation of complaints
- Timely delivery of case updates and strategic recommendations
- Junior attorney and staff performance improvement under supervision
- Reduction in rework or corrective edits on team-prepared filings
- Contribution to training materials, templates, and litigation SOPs
