Lead Telecommunications Engineer, Hybrid Tech

Requirements

• Bachelors degree or equivalent relevant experience
• Cisco CUCM administration experience
• Familiarity with ACD training and basic network fundamentals
• Extensive experience in the design, installation, and support of telecommunications equipment and contact center platforms, including scripting
• Proficient in configuring and installing Cisco products for routine operation and fault isolation of digital telecommunications hardware (fiber optic transmission, multiplexes, digital cross-connect, and channel bank equipment)
• Competence in performing routine fault isolation testing of DS1, DS3, ISDN, VOIP, and SIP communication facilities such as routers and concentrators
• Minimum of 5 years experience in PBX, voicemail, ACD administration, and lead dial peer design on voice routers
• Experience with carrier circuit provisioning, troubleshooting, and project management
• Certifications in relevant equipment and systems
• Strong understanding of protocols and interfaces, including TCP/IP, SIP, QoS (Layer 2 &
  3), Ethernet, RS232, and DHCP
• Advanced knowledge in network management, multi-protocol troubleshooting, and optimization
• Familiarity with operating systems such as Linux/UNIX, Netware, DOS, and Windows
• Proven ability to lead projects or manage high-severity issues effectively
• Knowledge of the healthcare sector and programming skills are a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong documentation, organizational, and analytical abilities

• Ensure optimal availability of the BHS Network Based Telecommunications Voice systems through efficient installation and maintenance of equipment – Collaborate with network engineering teams to plan telecom infrastructure capacity expansions and network optimization initiatives – Conduct voice capacity analysis for BHSF IT Product lines and external clients – Propose, specify, and implement technological solutions, actively participating as a team member in project deployments – Compile and analyze network-based statistical data to produce reports for capacity planning – Support the Director of Network/Telecommunication Manager in vendor contract management – Design LAN/WAN Network-Based Voice solutions following standard design methodologies – Execute advanced management functions related to Network-Based Voice Systems – Provide technical support to resolve network-based and standalone voice issues, including handsets, hardware, software, and call routing problems – Perform basic network administration tasks and application support on supported systems – Mentor and provide assistance to junior Voice-Network Engineers – Adhere to BHSF IT methodologies and standards, including project methodologies and technology standards
