Description

Position Summary:

To provide guests with the first impression of the Biltmore golf operation, ensuring that guests are treated with respect and feel appreciated. To provide excellent customer service that exceeds the Biltmore mission. This position requires consistent adherence to policies and procedures of the department as outlined in the Biltmore Standard Operating Procedures (BSOPs).

Responsibilities
  • Comprehend tee time.
  • Comprehend pace of play.
  • Communicate with guests effectively and genuinely.
  • Start golfers on the first tee in an organized and efficient manner.
  • Organize and manage the bag storage and rental club system.
  • Attend to the driving range, pick up range balls, and handle range setup and breakdown.
  • Park, clean and stage golf carts according to a set rotation schedule.
  • Prepare golf carts for guest rounds.
  • Close the golf course and secure the golf cart storage and bag storage area.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements Experience and Education Required
  • Education:

    High School Diploma is required.
  • Experience:

    Golf course experience (preferred); customer service experience (preferred).
Skills Required
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the English language.
  • Compute accurate mathematical calculations.
  • Provide legible communication and directions.
  • Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.

Physical Demands
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.

  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Use, carry, and operate all necessary office equipment with finger dexterity.
  • Communicate with employees, managers, subordinates and guests through verbal communication, hearing ability, and visual acuity.
  • Visually look at a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Adapt to moderate temperatures in the hotel environment; most work tasks are indoors.
