X-Ray Technician

Job Description

Looking for an X‑Ray Technician who can work as a 1099 employee serving patients at Pro Salud Clinic at Little Havana Activities & Nutrition Centers of Dade County, Inc. ("LHANC"). Candidates will work twice weekly (days TBD) and provide basic clinical care in accordance with their medical education. Duties include initial clinical evaluations and directed procedures, performing X‑ray testing with correct body mechanics and patient movement, obtaining clear images, and preparing patients for further medical evaluations.

• Receives instructions from physicians regarding any required X‑rays.
• Executes physician‑directed instructions and obtains clear imaging results.
• Performs proper use of X‑ray equipment.
• Follows all compliance and safety protocols for all patients and staff.
• Coordinates receipt and delivery of X‑ray dosimeter through vendor (Laundauer) every three months.
• Keeps patients calm and informed throughout the X‑ray procedure.
• Assists with preparation and distribution of OTC bags for patients monthly or as requested.
• Reports any technical or maintenance issues related to X‑ray equipment.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
