Tax Accounting Manager

Responsible for building and managing core accounting, financial reporting, and compliance functions within a privately held, investment-focused organization. This role partners closely with senior stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting, strong controls, effective cash management, and adherence to tax and regulatory requirements across multiple entities.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and oversee accounting, financial reporting, and operational infrastructure
• Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Manage full-cycle accounting activities, including payables, journal entries, reconciliations, entity administration, and system oversight
• Oversee tax compliance and filings for multiple entity types and individuals, coordinating with external advisors and regulatory bodies
• Design and maintain cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning to support operating and investment needs
• Support complex ownership and capital structures, including funding activities and distributions
• Review and apply financial implications of contractual and legal documents
• Act as a trusted financial partner to senior stakeholders, providing analytical insight and guidance
• Administer insurance coverage across operating and investment assets

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, including tax exposure
• CPA and/or public accounting background preferred
• Experience supporting investment-oriented or private organizations a plus
• Familiarity with financial assets and investment structures
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Clear and effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Self-directed, adaptable, and resourceful with a high level of professionalism
• Demonstrated integrity and commitment to ethical standards
