Job Summary

Gulliver Preparatory School is seeking to hire a Physical Plant Mechanic to join our team of professionals. The Physical Plant Mechanic will be part of the Facilities maintenance team and will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems on our campuses. This role will assist with general repairs and event setup, and will involve troubleshooting issues, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring the proper functioning of all HVAC equipment.

This role requires advanced skills in large HVAC commercial systems. The qualified candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks and strive to ensure the highest standard of quality.

Responsibilities
  • Data logging and maintenance tracking of the equipment.
  • Responsible for setup and teardown of events in collaboration with facility work orders.
  • Responsible for repairs including but not limited to lighting, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
  • Assist with on-demand requests from faculty & staff.
  • Understanding tasks and determining proper materials and equipment needed for repairs and/or replacement.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Physical Plant Supervisor, PK-12.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED Certificate or equivalent.
  • Five (5) years of on the job related experience and/or a combination of education, training and work experience within the field.
  • Must be able to speak and write in English.
Pre-Employment Requirements

Criminal Background Check, Level II Fingerprint Screening(s), and Drug screen.
