Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for a skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Coral Gables, Florida. This is a long-term contract position ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and a solid background in managing accounts payable processes and ensuring accuracy in financial transactions. The role offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic workplace while utilizing your expertise in invoice coding, payment processing, and vendor communication.

Responsibilities:

- Process and verify invoices to ensure accurate coding and timely payment.

- Handle Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and manage check runs efficiently.

- Maintain vendor accounts by addressing discrepancies and resolving payment issues.

- Review and reconcile accounts payable records to ensure compliance with company policies.

- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline payment procedures and improve workflow.

- Monitor payment schedules to meet deadlines and avoid late fees.

- Prepare detailed financial reports related to accounts payable activities.

- Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and clarifications.

- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and accounting standards.

- Support the implementation of automated systems to optimize accounts payable functions. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable or a related financial role.

- Strong knowledge of account coding and invoice processing.

- Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and check runs.

- Proficiency in financial software and accounting systems.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

- Strong communication skills for vendor and internal team interactions.

- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
