Dojnia Staffing is seeking two Tax Associates for our client in Coral Gables, FL. This is a flexible full time hybrid role with a CPA firm.
About the ClientThey are a growing, entrepreneurial CPA firm based in Coral Gables, FL, focused on providing high-quality tax, accounting, and advisory services to small businesses, real estate investors, high‑net‑worth individuals, and nonprofit organizations. They prioritize technical excellence, client service, and continuous improvement. As they continue to expand, they are seeking a Senior Tax Associate to join their team and support their complex and diverse client base.
Position OverviewThe Tax Associate will play a key role in preparing, reviewing, and managing tax engagements across individual, corporate, partnership, and fiduciary tax returns. This role is ideal for someone who is technically strong, proactive, and looking for long‑term growth within a leadership‑minded firm.
Key Responsibilities Tax Preparation & ReviewPrepare and review federal and state tax returns for:
- Partnerships (1065)
- S‑Corporations & C‑Corporations (1120S / 1120)
Conduct tax research, analyze complex tax issues, and prepare memos/recommendations. Review work prepared by staff and provide constructive technical guidance.
Client Advisory & CommunicationServe as a primary point of contact for assigned clients. Manage client expectations, timelines, and deliverables. Identify tax planning opportunities and communicate strategies to clients.
Project ManagementManage multiple engagements simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment. Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely filing of all tax forms. Assist in year‑end planning and quarterly estimates. Work with modern cloud‑based systems (Quick Books Online, ADP, Ultratax and workflow tools). Improve internal processes and contribute to firm‑wide best practices.
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in accounting, taxation, or related field required.
CPA or EA preferred (or actively pursuing CPA or EA).
3–5+ years of tax preparation/review experience in a public accounting firm.
Strong understanding of federal and multi‑state tax law.
Experience with real estate, small businesses, and/or high‑net‑worth clients preferred.
Proficiency in tax software (Ultra Tax) and Quick Books Online.
Strong organizational skills, communication skills, and attention to detail.
