Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Coral Gables, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and analyzing financial records while ensuring compliance with tax regulations and accounting standards. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in corporate tax processes and possess strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and review corporate tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.

- Manage sales tax filings and reporting for multiple jurisdictions.

- Record journal entries and maintain detailed financial documentation.

- Oversee the general ledger to ensure accurate and timely postings.

- Monitor and analyze financial data to support decision-making processes.

- Collaborate with other departments to address accounting inquiries and resolve discrepancies.

- Assist in audits and provide necessary documentation to auditors.

- Ensure adherence to accounting standards and best practices.

- Research and apply updates to tax laws impacting corporate financials.

- Maintain organized records for tax filings and financial transactions. Requirements - Proven experience in corporate tax accounting and preparation of corporate tax returns.

- Strong knowledge of sales tax regulations and compliance procedures.

- Proficiency in managing journal entries and maintaining general ledger accounts.

- Familiarity with accounting standards and tax laws.

- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.

- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
