Our team is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our ranks and contribute to the success of our organization.
Responsibilities- Full Cycle Accounting:
- Manage and execute day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, payment preparation, and collections.
- Assist Controller:
- Collaborate closely with our Controller to support financial reporting and analysis.
- Work on various accounting projects as assigned by the Controller, contributing to the efficiency of the overall financial function.
- Trial Balance and Final Entries:
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts, ensuring proper classification and accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of trial balances and make necessary adjustments.
- Debits and Credits:
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of accounting principles, with the ability to accurately record financial transactions and differentiate between debits and credits.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, supporting schedules, and various management reports.
- Contribute to the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting regulations and company policies.
- Assist with financial audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless information flow and financial data accuracy.
- Participate in meetings and discussions to contribute valuable insights to the financial health of the company.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 2+ years of experience in a similar accounting role.
- Strong understanding of debits and credits, full cycle accounting, and financial reporting.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Competitive salary in the range of $65,000 - $75,000 per year.
