Your primary responsibilities will include:
Preparing tax technical research, correspondence, and memos.
Reviewing complex tax compliance matters, including tax returns and election forms.
Providing support to team members on tax-related issues for all clients.
Assisting in the development and coaching of other professionals and junior team members.
Working with colleagues to identify potential planning opportunities and generate additional business from existing clients.
Required Experience, Qualifications, and Characteristics:
Designated CPA
Currently enrolled in or have completed the CPA Canada In-depth Tax Course
4+ years of public practice experience, with at least 2 years in Canadian private company tax
Strong background in tax compliance, with an understanding of the challenges faced by small to medium-sized businesses
Experience with tax reorganizations and transactions
Independent, highly motivated, and a self-starter
Strong multitasking skills, able to manage multiple clients simultaneously
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), with a commitment to maintaining open and transparent dialogue with colleagues and clients
