LINC Coordinator

The LINC Coordinator (Coquitlam) contributes to the successful delivery of LINC (Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada) Stage 1 (levels 1–4) English training at the Douglas College Coquitlam campus.

Working under the direction of the CCSP, the LINC Coordinator collaborates with staff to ensure the Coquitlam LINC program meets contract outcomes.

• Oversees daily program operations including class scheduling, attendance monitoring and waitlist management;
• Ensures the achievement of contractual outcomes;
• Provides direction and guidance to instructional staff re PBLA (Project Based Language Assessment), acting as a PBLA Lead for the LINC program;
• Lead program teams and ensure all teams function as a synchronized unit, with clear communication and coordination between instructional, administrative support and if at Surrey, with child‑minding teams as well;
• Assist with interviewing for internal program staff as subject matter expert;
• Collect and report on program statistics and provide reports to CCSP;
• Chair or co‑chair team meetings with CCSP;
• Review IRCC changes to policy and implement policies and procedures across all LINC teams;
• Assist support staff with iCARE requirements and training;
• Participate in Training Group’s Quality Management System (ISO
  9001:2015);
• Participate in community and inter‑disciplinary groups as they relate to LINC or language training for newcomers throughout the Lower Mainland;
• Provide support and direction to Clients on an as needed basis; and
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
