Role Overview
Area Supervisor is a member of Store Leadership responsible for a specific area and general operations when acting as Manager on Duty. Duties include opening/closing store, supervising associates, maintaining merchandise presentation and store cleanliness, and executing operational processes.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain safe & secure environments: safety priority, high awareness, security of building, EAS checks, register security, emergency exit clear.
- Customer Service: treat customers and associates with respect, display courtesy, friendliness, and acknowledge Company recognition programs.
- Store Brand & Merchandising: represent brand, maintain appearance, keep store clean, daily trash removal, receive and process merchandise, protect loss prevention, oversee front end.
- Front End Operations: manage cash registers, shortage control, break schedules, equipment, expedite go backs, teach scan‑bag best practice.
- Fitting Rooms: keep fitting rooms clean, audit garment tags, comply with go‑back tagging and security.
- Administrative Duties: conduct cash pulls and bank deposits, administer payroll and scheduling, and perform other tasks assigned by Store Manager.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Fluency in English.
- Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
- Familiarity with point‑of‑sale equipment and applications.
- Basic mathematical calculations common to retail environments.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends.
Stand, walk, and move 100% of working time; bend, squat, kneel, and climb; lift more than 25 lbs occasionally; use janitorial equipment, ladders, and other assigned supplies.
