The YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas is actively seeking a cause driven leader to join our team as the Senior Vice President/Chief Properties Officer. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone who is ready to join one of the premier YMCA associations in the country.

We’re looking for an individual who is responsible for developing and executing the organization’s real estate and facilities strategy to achieve Association objectives. We are one of the largest YMCA’s in North America serving over 240,000 people annually through programs including teen outreach, aquatics, youth sports, childcare, and health and wellness.
These programs are administered by a full and part-time staff of over 2,400 who serve at 16 branches and a resident camp.
Reporting to the CEO, the Senior Vice President/Chief Properties Officer oversees property acquisition, leasing, construction, maintenance, and sustainability initiatives, ensuring operational excellence and cost efficiency throughout the organization.
Strategic Leadership- Develop and implement a comprehensive real estate and facilities strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Provide executive oversight for property portfolio management, including acquisitions, dispositions, and lease negotiations.
- Ensure optimal operation, maintenance, and safety of all facilities.
- Oversee capital projects, renovations, and construction activities to meet quality, budget, and timeline requirements.
- Manage budgets for real estate and facilities operations, ensuring cost efficiency and ROI.
- Negotiate vendor contracts and monitor performance for cost-effectiveness and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to property and facilities management.
- Implement risk management strategies for physical assets and workplace safety.
- Drive sustainability initiatives, including energy efficiency and environmental impact reduction.
- Leverage technology and best practices to optimize facilities operations.
- Bachelor's degree in facility management, engineering (construction or mechanical), or another related field or equivalent
- Ten or more years experience in a related leadership role
- Knowledge of OSHA and safety standards.
- Proven, successful experience in facility management, budget management, supervision and controlling the maintenance of plants and equipment.
- The incumbent must have a broad base of knowledge and experience in a facility mechanical procedures.
- The incumbent must have the ability to work with building trades and consult with staff, contractors, and laymen.
- This position must also develop training programs for facility staff and develop short and long-range plans.
