The City of Coppell is seeking a visionary, community‑minded Arts Center Manager to lead one of North Texas’ most vibrant cultural destinations. This role blends artistic leadership, operational excellence, and relationship‑driven engagement to ensure the Coppell Arts Center continues to inspire, connect, and enrich our community.
As the Arts Center Manager, you will serve as the strategic and artistic leader of the Arts Center—guiding programming, operations, partnerships, and people. From shaping a dynamic presenting season and supporting resident arts groups to overseeing events, budgets, and staff development, this role is ideal for a collaborative leader who believes the arts are essential to a thriving community and who contributes meaningfully to both the Coppell Arts Center and the Community Experiences leadership team.

Schedule CommitmentThe Arts Center Manager generally works five days a week with two consecutive days off. On non‑event days a typical schedule is Monday – Friday 9am to 5pm; event days will include nights and weekend shifts. The Manager will also be required to attend Foundation Board Meetings, Arts Council Meetings, and occasionally Park Board and City Council meetings. When a shift is scheduled outside of Monday – Friday the schedule is adjusted to create a 40‑hour work week.
Occasionally there will be additional hours required in a week to meet the demands of the job. Regular attendance is expected.
Salary determination is supported by budget availability and qualifications of the candidate to maintain internal equity. Hiring Range: $86,806 – $106,317.

- Max $125,851 ($60.51)

Experience Required- Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Theatre, Arts Administration, Business and Marketing or other relevant field of study.
- 7+ years’ experience, plus 3+ years at a management level managing multi‑use arts operations.
- Possesses a valid Texas Driver’s License because essential job functions require travel to various sites within and outside of the City.
- Master’s degree in Arts, Theatre, Arts Administration, Business and Marketing or other relevant field of study.
- Certified venue manager.
- Literacy in event scheduling software, social media management, paid advertising buys, knowledge of AV and ticketing software.
- Deep understanding of a multi‑use arts center operations policies and procedures. Including theater production, event logistics/production, Resident Company Partnerships, Arts Boards facilitation, volunteer programs, fundraising, facility rentals and facility maintenance.
- Working knowledge of public administration polices, operations, process, producers and limitations at the local, state and national levels and the democratic political process within a Council‑Manager form of government.
- Strong business acumen in budgeting, contract negotiation, artist bookings, fundraising development, grant writing, with earned and contributed income strategies.
- Knowledge of communications, media production and paid marketing initiatives to inform, entertain and attract continued patronage of the Arts Center.
- Exceptional leadership and team‑building skills with a collaborative, inclusive, and service‑oriented approach.
- Proven ability to develop effective community partnerships and foster a thriving arts ecosystem.
