Samaritan's Purse is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team of professionals who take care of the buildings and grounds at our Ministry Center located in Coppell, TX
. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for ensuring that the buildings and grounds remain presentable and in smooth working order at all times. This position supports the overall mission of Samaritan's Purse which is to proclaim the Gospel and to serve with excellence!

A day in the life of a Maintenance Technician:

At Samaritans Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do! We start each day with a time of devotions and spend time praying for each other, our staff and volunteers who serve around the globe.

In the role of Maintenance Technician
, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
  • Maintain the preventative maintenance (PM) schedule for all buildings and building systems as assigned
  • Keep accurate records for maintenance and preventative maintenance programs
  • Review daily work lists with the Maintenance Supervisor through routine communications throughout the day
  • Develop and improve skills in all aspects of building maintenance through participation in approved training sessions
  • Maintain a safe work environment and follow all associated safety guidelines
  • High School Diploma or GED and 3+ years maintenance experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience; CDL Driver's License that includes passenger endorsement and other applicable endorsements, with no infractions. North Carolina CDL to be obtained within 3-6 months after hire date if out of state
  • Ability to respond with hospitable presence, and a servant-heart demeanor
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service skills in attention to detail, active listening, and conflict resolution
  • Ability to ensure job duties are completed timely and accurately
  • Ability to respond to a changing work environment with changing priorities
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to problem solve with compassion and professionalism
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow blue prints
  • Knowledge in construction to include carpentry, electrical, and plumbing
