We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Lead Occupational Therapist to join our team in Coppell. Our ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of 4+ years’ clinical experience with pediatrics from ages birth-20
- A wide variety of experience with differing diagnoses, treatment strategies and approaches (Autism, Apraxia, ADHD, Dyslexia, Cerebral Palsy, Developmental Delay and Torticollis…)
- At least 1 year of experience in a leadership or mentorship role
- A strong Continuing Education resume
- The aspiration to be a part of a heart‑based, values‑driven practice that improves children’s lives daily
- The desire to learn and grow in a fun, yet professional environment alongside other initiative‑taking and independent professionals
- The ability to provide top‑quality care to patients from all walks of life
- Provide leadership and mentorship to OT’s to enhance professional development and care.
- Function as a liaison between OT departments and other healthcare teams.
- Observe evaluations and review documentation of new OT’s and provide feedback.
- Provide support for observations between team members.
- Promote collaboration within the team.
- Proactively engage with OT team members to identify needs regarding client care, progress, and discharge planning.
- Screen and interview prospective new hires.
- Conduct evaluations and re‑evaluations to determine appropriate diagnoses and create an effective plan of care.
- Perform weekly therapy sessions using evidence‑based practice.
- Provide parent education and home programming following each therapy session.
- Communicate relevant information with team members, families and patients – both verbally and in writing.
- Document evaluations and therapy sessions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensure a clean and safe treatment space.
- Collaborate with clinical team, administrative staff, and patient families to provide best care.
- Refer to professionals outside our system when in the best interest of our patients and families.
- Attend weekly round‑table meetings and other designated meetings for clinical growth, team building, and business practice.
- Contribute to company growth by exploring and sharing ideas for innovative therapy models and special programs.
- Pursue relevant continuing education to best serve our patient population.
- Maximize efforts to achieve company productivity standards for potential bonus and flex time opportunities.
- Proficiently utilize MS Office and other software systems.
- Complete scheduling and documentation via Practice Perfect.
- Utilize payroll system to report time worked and request time off.
- Submit weekly productivity stats.
- Identify and review billing codes.
- Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs.
