Primary

Purpose:

Monitor, create, implement, and evaluate structures to meet the needs for budgeting of federal and state funding supports and ensure compliance and fidelity within the system. Partner with the business office, curriculum team, and campuses in reviewing and analyzing district and campus supports for instruction, intervention, enrichment, collaboration efforts, assessment practices, data collection tools, and specifically budgeting and allocating funds for federal and state funding.

Partner with the curriculum team and campuses in efforts of evaluating accountability data, learner growth, assessment data analysis, targeting specific needs; as well as developing and sustaining structures to ensure federal grant fund expenditures impact learner growth.

Qualifications:

  • Education/Certification:

    Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university
  • Master’s degree from an accredited college/university preferred
  • Experience in working with educational budgets or federal funds
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate with administrator certification preferred
  • Campus based leadership or district-based leadership preferred

Special Knowledge/

Skills:

  • Knowledgeable about systems within instruction including, but not limited to:
    Professional Learning Communities, Collaborative Team Structures, Multi-Tiered Systems of Support, Coaching, Data Analysis Protocols, At-Risk identification, Accommodating for Learners based on: IEP, 504, Dyslexia or Emergent Bilingual eligibility
  • Knowledgeable of data analysis techniques and coaching others on reviewing data, and use of effective protocols
  • Knowledge of federal regulations and state guidance concerning federal grants and State Compensatory Education programs including reporting, audit-response and compliance requirements.
  • Knowledge of program improvement strategies and at-risk indicators
  • Skilled in analyzing financial activities, budget analysis and preparation
  • Skilled in operating a variety of technology applications/programs
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of privileged and sensitive information
  • Ability to perform duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, and meet all district, state and federal timelines
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and written utilizing tact and diplomacy and maintain effective working relationships with district personnel and campus administration
  • Ability to comprehend complex systems and technical information and explain to a wide variety of stakeholders.
  • Ability to maintain professional behavior, appearance, and work ethic to always represent the district in a positive manner and work in a team environment
  • Ability to evaluate programs and use data to drive decisions
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with a wide variety of district personnel and outside organizations
