Billing Specialist

My client is growing and needs a billing pro who can step into a fast‑paced, project‑driven environment and keep draw invoicing moving on time and error‑free. • Own the draw billing cycle for assigned projects: prepare pay applications, compile backup, and ensure timely submission to customers per schedule.
• Create and post invoices accurately and on deadline; reconcile discrepancies and follow through to resolution.
• Audit contracts and schedules of values to confirm alignment with billing terms and changes.
• Partner with internal teams (sales/operations/customer service) to obtain approvals and documentation needed for each billing cycle.
• Maintain organized records and produce ad‑hoc reports that help leadership track progress and cash flow.
• Continuously improve
  : spot process gaps, tighten controls, and help standardize billing workflows.

• 4+ years in construction billing / AR draw billing with hands‑on experience preparing AIA G702/G703 applications.
• Advanced Excel skills
  —especially Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
  —and the ability to clearly explain how you’ve used them in prior roles.
• Degree preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s; equivalent experience considered.
• Tools:
  
  Experience with
  Sage (plus, not required). Exposure to Procore, GCPay, or Textura is highly valued.
• Strengths: Detail orientation, time management, clear communication with internal and external partners, and a collaborative, “help‑first” mindset.

• Familiarity with lien waivers, COIs, stored materials, and construction change order billing
• Comfort creating looks‑ups and dynamic reporting to reconcile data across systems
• Experience improving or documenting billing procedures
