Senior Software Engineer, Backend; Streaming Infrastructure

• Own and deliver quarterly goals for your team while leading engineers through ambiguity to solve open‑ended problems
• Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics to support the product development lifecycle
• Identify and advocate for solutions to project, process, technology, or business issues
• Monitor team metrics and support operational availability of team artifacts, including on‑call efforts

• 4+ years of experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale using languages like Python or Kotlin
• Proven track record of developing highly available distributed systems using technologies like AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes
• Experience with at least one stream processing framework such as Spark, Samza, Flink, or Beam
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with a global engineering team
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience

• Experience with Confluent Platform (Schema Registry, Tableflow) is a strong plus
• Proficiency in making significant changes in a large code base and developing tools/practices for safe implementation
• Demonstrated ownership of personal growth through proactive feedback‑seeking
