- Lead and coach a team of 5-8 engineers in building a scalable platform for AI agents
- Architect the "Agent-First" Experience by developing APIs and services for agent functionality within the dbt ecosystem
- Define and lead the development of dbt’s MCP tools to enhance integration with LLMs
- Collaborate with product teams to ensure the AI Platform meets necessary requirements for agentic use cases
- Establish standards for agent interactions with dbt Cloud, focusing on security and governance
- Minimum of 3 years in people management leading high-performing software engineering teams
- Experience with Agentic Architectures and understanding the lifecycle of an agentic loop
- Deep technical knowledge in API design and familiarity with emerging standards like MCP
- Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including testing and CI/CD
- Passion for Developer Tools and experience with orchestration systems for LLMs
- Direct experience building or contributing to MCP servers
- Knowledge of the "Modern Data Stack" and the dbt Semantic Layer
- Excellent written communication skills, essential for a remote-first culture
