• Build tooling and automation for managing Kubernetes clusters to ensure reliability and ease of use
• Enhance developer and operational experiences related to Kubernetes for all users
• Operationalize the Kubernetes platform to automate and self‑heal, minimizing on‑call burdens
• Develop new Kubernetes‑related capabilities for service owners, including various deployment strategies and support features
• Provide support to customers operating critical services in Kubernetes at the employer

• Minimum of 5+ years of software engineering experience, specifically with Kubernetes or similar orchestration systems
• Strong knowledge of AWS and/or GCP infrastructure
• Proven ability to build backend services alongside infrastructure development
• High standards for quality, self‑starter attitude, and strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement solutions

• Experience in scaling backend infrastructure
• Familiarity with other compute orchestration systems like Mesos or Nomad
