Join GDIT as a Senior Front-End Developer to deliver the user interface for a new healthcare portal built on a modern Azure-native stack. You will translate Figma designs into responsive React components, ensure compliance with federal accessibility standards, and collaborate with backend and Dev Ops teams to deliver a secure, user-friendly portal experience.
This role requires expertise in React, modern JavaScript/Type Script, and UI development within a FedRAMP/HIPAA-compliant environment.
Responsibilities- Build and maintain responsive React front-end applications that integrate with Azure APIM and Functions.
- Translate Figma design mockups and wireframes into pixel-perfect, production-ready code.
- Ensure accessibility and usability compliance with Section 508 standards.
- Apply U.S. Web Design System (USWDS) principles when implementing UI components.
- Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate APIs and data flows from Azure SQL.
- Work with Dev Ops engineers to support CI/CD pipelines in Azure Dev Ops.
- Participate in unit testing, Sonar Cloud code quality reviews, and automated testing integration.
- Collaborate in an Agile team environment using JIRA for backlog, sprint planning, and user story tracking.
- Maintain documentation of front-end architecture, components, and style standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 3-5+ years of professional front-end development experience.
- Strong proficiency in React, JavaScript/Type Script, and modern front‑end frameworks.
- Hands‑on experience with Figma for UI/UX design implementation.
- Knowledge of Azure Dev Ops pipelines, Git, and version control best practices.
- Familiarity with authentication/authorization flows using Entra (Azure AD B2C).
- Understanding of secure coding practices and compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, HIPAA).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
- Experience with Section 508 accessibility compliance and accessibility testing tools.
- Familiarity with U.S. Web Design System (USWDS) standards for federal web applications.
- Experience with Sonar Cloud or similar code quality tools.
- Exposure to automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) and integration with CI/CD.
- Microsoft Certified:
Azure Developer Associate or equivalent. - Background in healthcare application development or other regulated industries.

The likely salary range for this position is $85,093 - $100,050. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
