Software Engineer; Replication Manager

• Build and maintain large-scale replication systems on top of the employer's data platform stack
• Ensure the products run effectively in production environments
• Collaborate with a distributed team to design cloud-based replication architectures with low Recovery Point Objective (RPO) and Recovery Time Objective (RTO)
• Support replication across multiple components such as HDFS, Ozone, Hive, HBase, Iceberg, Atlas, and Ranger
• Mentor junior engineers and provide actionable feedback

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field with 4-6 years of experience, or Bachelor's degree with more than 6 years of relevant industry experience
• Strong backend engineering skills with expertise in Java, Scala, or Kotlin
• Ability to read large codebases and write clean, succinct code
• Experience with system software design and development, including knowledge of computer architecture, storage, network, and I/O subsystems
• Systems/Dev Ops experience

• Experience in large-scale, distributed systems design and development, with an understanding of scaling, replication, consistency, and high availability
• Current expertise in Java/Scala/Kotlin developer ecosystems
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Test automation experience along with basic knowledge of Python
• Background in performance tuning and optimization
