• Design and develop new features for Cloudera’s data engineering experience, leading a team to deliver at scale

• Minimum of 6 years of professional software development experience
• Strong understanding of Java, Scala, or Python
• Experience leading and delivering complex product enhancements
• Proven ability to research and solve problems independently
• Experience with distributed systems design and development

• Experience with SQL planners and developing Apache Spark or Livy
• Familiarity with large‑scale distributed systems design, scaling, and performance optimization
• Solid experience with at least one cloud platform
• Passion for clean coding habits and attention to detail
• Strong oral and written communication skills
