What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Lead the implementation and maintenance of the prospect management system to evaluate and report on major gift prospects
  • Conduct regular meetings with fundraisers to discuss prospects and ensure accurate recording of donor cycle stages
  • Proactively identify and vet new donors, sharing relevant information and updating constituent records
  • Prepare detailed reports and individualized research documents for prospects and donor strategies
  • Oversee the vetting process for prospective board members and support donor engagement initiatives
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in prospect management, development research, or fundraising analytics within a nonprofit or academic organization
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Proficiency in prospect research platforms and tools, with experience in CRM or donor databases preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Demonstrated success in leading prospect management systems and processes
  • Experience training and mentoring staff across departments
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, Word, and Power Point
  • Strong problem-solving skills and intellectual curiosity in adapting to changing priorities
