We are looking for a high-impact Senior Data Scientist to be the analytical superpower behind our new direct-to-consumer mental health platform. In a 0→1 environment, data isn't just for reporting—it’s the compass. You will be responsible for transforming raw user behavior into actionable growth strategies, ensuring every experiment we run is grounded in statistical rigor.

As the first dedicated data hire for our consumer team, you will have a "blank canvas" to define our data culture. You will partner directly with Product, Engineering, and Growth to build our measurement framework from scratch, uncover the "Aha!" moments in the user journey, and pull the core business levers that will drive our mission to scale.

This is not a research-ML role. This is an analytics-first, experimentation-driven role focused on understanding user behavior, improving funnels, retention, and LTV, and informing high-stakes product and growth decisions in a new consumer product.

The consumer team is a newly formed team that is building the future of D2C mental health from scratch. The team is a lean, fast-moving team tasked with taking our newest product from stealth to launch within the next few months. We’re currently in the 'pre-launch' phase, looking for builders who thrive in ambiguity and want the autonomy to help drive growth for the product from day zero.

What you’ll be doing :
  • Product & Growth Analytics:
Analyze acquisition, onboarding, activation, retention, and monetization funnels to identify where and why users drop, convert, or churn.
  • Experimentation Strategy:
Own the end-to-end testing framework. You will design, execute, and analyze A/B tests that define our growth playbook.
  • Growth Modeling:
Build predictive models for user retention and LTV. You’ll identify the user behaviors that lead to long-term business growth.
  • Strategic Partnership:
Act as a "Product Manager of Data," translating complex analytical findings into clear, high-stakes recommendations for consumer leadership.
  • Funnel Optimization:
Deep-dive into the acquisition and onboarding funnels to identify friction points and opportunities for viral loops.
  • AI & Future-Proofing:
Explore how AI and machine learning can be leveraged to personalize user experiences and automate growth workflows.
What you need to have:
  • 5+ Years of

    Experience:

Proven track record in Data Science, specifically within B2C/Consumer Growth or high-growth tech environments.
  • Analytics-first mindset:
You care more about answering the right business questions than building the most complex model, and you’re comfortable prioritizing clarity and impact over technical novelty.
  • Technical Breadth:
Expert-level SQL and Python/R. You are comfortable with the "full stack" of data, from ETL pipelines (dbt, Snowflake/Big Query) to visualization (Mixpanel, Amplitude, Looker).
  • Statistical Rigor: A deep understanding of hypothesis testing, causal inference, and how to find truth in noisy, early-stage data.
  • The 0→1 Mindset:
You aren’t afraid of messy data. You enjoy the challenge of building infrastructure while simultaneously delivering high-value insights.
  • Business Intuition:
You understand the "why" behind the "what." You can connect a drop in a conversion metric to a specific user pain point.
  • High Agency:
As the first data hire, you don’t wait for a…
