About the Role
Aequilibrium (AEQ) is seeking a Designer, Digital Marketing to support and strengthen our marketing execution across design, digital channels, and events
. This is a contract, part-time role that can evolve into a full-time, permanent role.
The right person is design-led but marketing-capable, someone who can create polished visuals, publish content, manage the website, support conferences, and run marketing operations without a heavy structure. This is an internal-facing role focused on building AEQ’s brand, presence, and pipeline support.
What You Will DoDesign & Brand Execution (Foundation)
Design high-quality, on-brand assets for:
Linked In posts and campaigns
Blog headers, thought leadership visuals
Website banners, landing pages, and updates
Conference and event materials
Maintain visual consistency and quality across all marketing touchpoints
Apply strong layout, typography, and clarity, especially for executive audiences
Digital Marketing & Content (Hands-On)
Create and publish:
Linked In posts (visual + copy)
Blog posts (including copywriting and editing)
Campaign content tied to events, partnerships, and announcements
Translate leadership ideas and positioning into clear, accessible content
Maintain a consistent, confident brand voice
Website & Platform Ownership
Own day-to-day updates to AEQ’s Word Press website
, including:Page design and layout updates
Blog publishing
Landing pages for events and campaigns
Ensure the site remains current, clean, and aligned with business priorities
Conferences & Events Support
Support marketing execution for conferences and events, including:
Pre-event promotion and materials
On-site or remote marketing support as needed
Post-event follow-up content and campaigns
Work closely with leadership and BD to align marketing with event goals
Marketing Operations & Automation
Support Hub Spot marketing activities
, including:Contact lists and segmentation
Campaign setup and follow-ups
Light automation and reporting
Help maintain a simple, effective marketing rhythm
You are a design-forward marketer who is comfortable owning execution across multiple disciplines.
You bring:
Strong design capability and taste
Solid digital marketing fundamentals
Comfort working independently with minimal oversight
Practical judgment and follow-through
Interest in building, not just producing
You are comfortable:
Working without a large team
Switching between design, content, and operations
Supporting leadership and business goals directly
Taking responsibility for things being “done right”
5–8+ years of experience in digital design, marketing, content, or growth roles
Proven experience supporting in-house marketing for Canadian technology companies and professional services firms
Hands-on experience with:
Design tools (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite)
Word Press (design and content updates)
Linked In content for B2B audiences
Copywriting for blogs and marketing content
Familiarity with Hub Spot marketing automation and campaigns
Exposure to financial services
, especially credit unionsExperience supporting digital transformation initiatives
Exposure to XR, immersive, or emerging technologies
Comfort supporting conferences and field marketing
Understanding of B2B marketing funnels and pipelines
Based in the Greater Vancouver area (required)
Remote-first
, with occasional in-person collaborationPart-time, contract role
Hourly rate: $40–$50/hour
