What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

• Provide tier-2 support for application incidents reported through the help desk, including 24/7 on-call coverage as required

• Coordinate application support with other information technology teams, including Infrastructure, Integration, and Reporting

• Mentor junior staff members and assist in documenting workflows

• Identify system optimization opportunities and collaborate with vendors and analysts to implement solutions

• Lead small to medium complexity new software installations and enhancement requests

What is Required (Qualifications):

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Management Systems, Electronics Technology, Computer Engineering, Health Information Management, or a directly-related field from an accredited college or university

• Minimum of 6 years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience

• Experience with 2 major Epic upgrades or implementations

• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills

• Strong analytical skills to analyze complex systems and workflows

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):

• Familiarity with a variety of server operating systems, storage systems, databases, and scripting languages

• Knowledge of current issues and trends in healthcare and clinical operations

• Experience in a healthcare setting with Epic Software and other clinical software applications
