The External Affairs Manager
- State Government Relations will support and lead OCHIN’s state-level legislative and regulatory advocacy efforts by advancing priorities supporting community-based and rural health care providers. This role develops and executes advocacy strategies, builds relationships with policymakers, and represents OCHIN across multiple states.
- Lead state government relations strategies aligned with organizational priorities
- Track, analyze, and influence state legislation and regulations
- Draft testimony, comment letters, and policy/data briefs
- Build relationships with legislators, agencies, coalitions, and members
- Represent OCHIN in hearings, work groups, and advocacy forums
- Other duties as assigned
- Health information technology and interoperability
- Community health centers and rural health systems
- Medicaid and state health coverage programs
- Telehealth and virtual care
- Behavioral health and integrated care, Workforce development and training
