What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
  • Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing communications and outreach initiatives for the National Institutes of Health (NIH)
  • Manage day-to-day task execution, track schedules and deliverables, and support alignment with agency priorities
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and monitor progress against plans and budgets
  • Facilitate collaboration with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely and compliant project delivery
  • Coordinate communication among diverse stakeholder groups, capturing meeting minutes and tracking action items
What is Required (Qualifications):
  • 8+ years of experience in portfolio, program, and/or project management support for complex initiatives, preferably in federal health or communications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as communications, public health, or project management
  • Proven ability to lead and coordinate large, cross-functional teams with effective communication
  • Experience managing contract budgets, including labor hour tracking and cost control
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and project management platforms
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Familiarity with the NIH organizational structure and experience in matrixed environments
  • Demonstrated experience in managing project life cycles for complex federal initiatives
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in developing briefing materials and status updates
  • Ability to document communication among diverse stakeholder groups and facilitate project meetings
