What to Expect

(Job Responsibilities):

  • Analyze and interpret legislation and regulations related to Mental Health Parity, communicating impacts to the business
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for Mental Health Parity, attending cross-functional meetings and leading discussions
  • Oversee the preparation of Mental Health Parity Nonquantitative Treatment Limitations (NQTL) Comparative Analyses documentation
  • Create and audit filing documentation for compliance with federal and state Mental Health Parity laws
  • Lead onboarding and training initiatives for new employees and analysts in the department
What is Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, Communications, Health Care, Political Science/Pre-Law, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in health insurance, legal, or compliance-related areas
  • Knowledge of Mental Health Parity laws and experience with SERFF preferred
  • Experience in commercial health insurance and/or behavioral health managed care preferred
  • Experience in developing and auditing policy documentation and/or QHP filing templates preferred
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Master's Degree in a related field or Juris Prudence
  • Familiarity with Mental Health Parity law(s) and regulatory compliance
  • Additional experience in policy advocacy and regulatory research
